emilys new bike

Emilys New Bike! Our day off found us in Croswell at the summer flea market.  We always ask each other “what are you looking  for”?  Emily said she wanted an old fashioned bike. We were almost to the end and one aisle over-there it was!  Hurry! Remain calm, remember we’re ladies, Well forget that! there was a bunch of women  oohing and awing, goodling and gawing over the bike! RUN!!

Well, not to worry, they moved on. Whew! The nice gentleman halfed the price for our sweet emily-she’s picture perfect on her new ride.  Energy efficient, cost effective and all that too.

While we were there, I ran into my friend Sara Samoray. A most excellent antique dealer who now has her shop, Gull  Cottage, on the shores of Lake Huron in Port Sanilac. I first met Sara shortly after I’d set up shop in Almont, she was in Armada at the time. She was telling me about the Blue Water 7th Annual M-29/M25 Yard Sale Trail- This year August 14-15-16.  I hope to make it out with some girlfriends and score some treasure. Be sure to visit Sara and the others when you’re in the area.

The M25/29 yard sake is awesome and the prettiest scenery of then all around the lakes. I started at the s end and drove to lexington. It’s more scenic than the 127 WLGS and prices are better, Best yet you can do a good part of it as a day trip and sleep in your own bed that night

About The Mill & BrewHouse Cafe

More than a cafe, we offer vintage pieces, antiques and other unusual pieces in our historic decor. We are located on the edge of downtown Almont, in Michigan. In 1990, Debra & Arthur Schumacher purchased the building and as they say, the rest is history. Since opening her store in 1989, Debra has sold antiques as her main operation and in 2004 branched out adding The BrewHouse Cafe & Espresso Bar to the building’s history.
